Volunteer Hours

Families are required to complete 20 hours of volunteer service to the school throughout the year. There are numerous opportunities for service in both classroom and school-wide activities; speak with the teachers, check at the front office, and watch the newsletter and web site for suggest ions. Families will be invoiced at a rate of $20/hour ($400) for any hours not completed by the end of the school year.

Parents are responsible for logging their hours worked at the Front Office in the Volunteer Hours Log Book.

There are many ways to fulfill your volunteer hours at Hillcrest. Check this page regularly for requests for Volunteers. We can do all things through God, who gives us strength. We are confident that all of our needs can be meet with the time, talent and resources of our school family.

James 5

15And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

PRAYER INTERCESSORS

Hillcrest has always had a faithful corps of parents who hold the staff, students, and families up in prayer before the Lord. We believe in the power of prayer and acknowledge that we can do all things ONLY through the power of God within us.
Our Prayer Intercessors meet every Monday morning at 8:45 A.M. to pray for the needs of the school community. This group of moms and dads stand ready to lift up the needs of your family to the Lord, standing in faith with you, that His word is true - "the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." Our Prayer Intercessor leaders are Julie Dimas and Suzanne Hume.

For prayer requests, please contact the Prayer Intercessors’ leaders via email at hcspraye(at)hillcrestcs.org.

CARE AND CONCERN COMMITTEE

At Hillcrest, we believe that we are called to minister to the body of Christ. The Care and Concern Committee combines prayer with practical support for families with needs.

If you are aware of a Hillcrest family in need or have a prayer request, email Tara Weber at hcscare (at) hillcrestcs.org.
